StatementNature is my refuge and my inspiration. Forests and fields of unspoiled lands provide space to connect with the origins of our very existence. It is in these places that I open my heart to experience exhilarating beauty, curiosity, and primal wisdom. Nature also lays bare the ravages of time. In this too there is beauty.I am an artist/printmaker whose imagery is drawn from my relationship with the natural world. I use a variety of printmaking techniques to create etchings, woodcuts, monotypes, and lithographs. My process is a reflection of my relationship with the earth. It involves layering of natural textures, exploring the interactions of light and shadow, and making visible the often-invisible forces that flow through the forests, hills, rivers, and lakes that make up 29% of our planet.
