Julianna Buckley

Julianna Buckley is a painter based in the Hudson Valley. Ms. Buckley graduated in 2022 from the Chelsea Collage of Art and Design with a B.A. in Fine art. Since her time in London Ms. Buckley has returned to her home of the Hudson Valley. She has had the opportunity to participate in a few group exhibitions. As well as an art residency in Assisi, Italy.

Within my practice I look to explore the overlap between factual history and cultural history. the lines between our stories, our folk traditions, and what we've deemed as reality. How the real and imagined work to create our memories, personal and collective. I often use these thoughts as a lens through which to look at a certain place. Leading the usual outcome of my work to be landscapes in oil that give the viewer a vague narrative sense.
