Nina Ansaldi
I am a 22 year old emerging artist who works mostly in oil painting. I am a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance and a minor in Art. I have had the opportunity to participate in The Art Effect Senior Project show in Poughkeepsie, NY in 2019. In my personal practice I take great inspiration from the Impressionists and Neo-Impressionists.
I believe in capturing beauty from the unassuming places in life. I am an observer, one who seeks to transform my environment into images that exude sentimentality. My work surrounds places I confront during a stroll through a park, a commute to work, or a momentary glance outside of a window. There lies beauty, harmony, and deep meaning behind the “corners” of the landscape that surrounds us. I am in constant pursuit to bring life back to areas that have fallen into obscurity, and commemorate what hides in plain sight. It is my mission to create images in this thought wherever I journey; all I ask is for my viewers to participate in this wandering and consider more thoughtfully what is around them.
